Experts interviewed on a recent A&E Investigative Report, including Hank Nuwer, speculate that there is no campus that is free of hazing in either Greek, military, or athletic groups. Like education reform orchestrated by the government, it is aimed at those about to exit the system. In order to get true reform, it must start at the beginning not the end. Change of this magnitude doesn't happen overnight and it just seems no one plans for the long haul. The type of change needed will not be one of instant gratification but rather one that must percolate over decades of diligent and persistent effort.
