Paintballs from window of Slivka Hall hit 3 students

Call in an air strike! The GDIs have armed themselves and are getting restless.
Three Northwestern students were hit early Saturday by paintballs they said were shot from a window at Slivka Hall, police said.

Officers responded to a battery call at about 1:50 a.m. from a student who said he found paint impact marks on the door of Sigma Phi Epsilon, said Asst. Chief Daniel McAleer of University Police.

The student told police he heard a noise, then looked outside and saw two males turning off lights and closing a window at Slivka. Three other students told police they were hit by paintballs when standing outside of Sig Ep. Two said they were hit on the leg and one said he was hit on the left foot.

None of the victims saw who shot the paintballs, but they said the shots came from a window on the second or third floor of the west side of Slivka, McAleer said. Police spoke to many Slivka residents and were unable to find anyone responsible for the damage, he added.

All three students who were hit by the paintballs declined medical attention.
