Epicurus of Samos

I am the re-incarnation of Epicurus of Samos. In that persona, I lived from 341-270 BCE. My philosphies were controversial for their day. They live on today in the Ritual of Sigma Phi Epsilon. I am a brother. In PRINCIPLE DOCTRINES I wrote: "It is impossible to live a pleasant life without living wisely and justly, and it is impossible to live wisley and justly without living pleasantly. Whenever any one of these is lacking, when, for instance, the man is not able to live wisely, though he lives honorably and justly, it is impossible for him to live a pleasant life." THAT is a "Balanced Man:!
The wise man does not point to the failings of his competitors and say "see, we have not failed; we must be better". The wise man keeps his counsel for he knows he too may fail.
