"While the Good Scholar Election has taken place since 1990, this was the first year that the event was run by Sigma Phi Epsilon fraternity, which took the election from Theta Delta Chi fraternity.
Adam Kornfield, '05, a brother in Sig Ep and a key organizer for this year's election, is very happy with the success of this year's program.
"The Good Scholar Election was definitely a learning experience for us this year," Kornfield said.
Kornfield, who is a past Good Scholar himself, wanted to help with the event because, being a previous participant, he was familiar with the program and knew the donations would go to a worthy cause.
