The Associated Students is inviting Chico State University students to a series of meetings to address an increase of violence and dangerous behavior within the student community.
AS officers are hoping the student-run forums will result in new and creative ways to combat incidents of alcohol abuse, assaults and hazing.
Adam Dondro, AS president, said escalating crime rates in south campus neighborhoods, along with cases of alcohol poisonings, and especially the hazing death of Chico State student Matthew Carrington, led officers to organize what are essentially brainstorming sessions.
