While we often equate intoxication deaths with alcohol, there are certainly other things that can upset the body's balance. This year we have seen deaths from water and near death from milk. The body's physiology can be seriously disrupted by all sort of things. I guess the lesson to be learned is that anything in excess can cause potential harm.
Seems, though, regardless of the potable, the common thread is hazing. How many more must pay the price before the individual takes his own life seriously enough to say "NO." Isn't one of the ideals of membership to teach self-respect and self-responsibility. How do you do that by forcing someone to do something that is against better judgement or potentially harmful?????? I don't consider negative publicity, potential lawsuits, expulsion, and attending funerals as the top things on my list to deal with in the name of Brotherhood........
