GAINESVILLE - As Taurean Charles stood alongside his mother, his pastor and his attorney Monday, the suspended Florida linebacker ended a long apology with sobs.
``I just can't take it,'' said Charles, 20, alluding to the consequences from the infamous ``keg brawl'' at a house party June 13 that could include his dismissal from the team and university as early as today.

Charles said he expects the university's judicial arm to revoke his scholarship and suspend him from school for a year. Such a suspension would leave Charles, who has two years of eligibility remaining, unable to play for another school next season. Attorney Robert Rush said Charles would appeal such a ruling.
``My career is basically over,'' said Charles, who was accused of throwing a partially full beer keg at fellow student Dane Eagle during a brawl between football players and members of the Sigma Phi Epsilon fraternity. Eagle suffered facial injuries and will require surgery to breathe normally again.
