SIGEP
UPDATE

Richmond, Virginia…The deadline for submitting your chapter’s application for SigEp’s most prestigious chapter award is fast approaching. The Buchanan Award Application, due on Friday, April 1, 2005, is available on the Conclave web page, www.sigep.org/conclave.

In addition, several chapters are in contention for the “Decade of Excellence” golden Buchanan Cup.

The 2005 Buchanan Cups will be awarded at the Balanced Man Celebration on Thursday, August 11, at the historic Ryman Auditorium. The Ryman, former home to the Grand Ole Opry, offers a fun, friendly environment to celebrate the very best of Sigma Phi Epsilon.

The award was established in 1961 as the Chapter Leadership Cup to recognize outstanding chapters. In 1967, the award was named for Edwin Buchanan of the Ohio Gamma Chapter at The Ohio State University. “Buck” served as Grand President from 1953-1955 and as Grand Treasurer from 1932-1967. It is awarded to those chapters deemed truly exceptional in all areas of operation over a two-year period. Academic achievement is based upon the calendar year, while all other areas of operation will be based upon the academic year.

Applications can be sent to:
