TN Kappa "Steps" in it

The TN Kappa chapter at UT-Martin recently competed in a "Step" contest and came away with second place honors - as well as helping to raise over $5,000 for charity.

Apparently some people were not impressed by this expression of respect and honor to a tradition that has traditionally been associated with the NPHC Greek system. Their web site guest book has been burning up with charges of insensitivity and expressions of support. It is interesting that the distain/support is split about equally where posters choose to note their NPHC affiliation. Maybe the diversity meme is getting a foothold.

They got so many hits from people trying to see what the fuss was about they overran their server capacity and had to take the video offline until they can upgrade. What a problem - the site is too popular!

The original story in the UTM Pacer.

The story on the TN Kappa website.
