Senior Secures Spot on All-District II University Division At-Large Second TeamBison diver Adam Freeman was named to the ESPN the Magazine Academic All-District At-Large second team, announced by College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) on Thursday. The honor is the second academic award of the year for Freeman, who was named the Patriot League Scholar-Athlete of the Year for men's swimming and diving for the second time in his career.
Freeman, who is double majoring in mechanical engineering and economics, boasts a cumulative GPA of 3.6. He is also a member of several honor societies due to his academic prowess. His resume includes nominations to the National Society of Collegiate Scholars, Alpha Lambda Delta Academic Honor Society, Omicron Delta Epsilon Economics Honor Society, Mortar Board College Senior Honor Society and Omicron Delta Kappa Leadership Honorary.
Freeman is also a member of the Sigma Phi Epsilon Fraternity, where he has been the Vice President Member Development since 2004. He also a part of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers and participates in the Student Athletic Advisory Committee (SAAC) on campus.
