Perspective

While we here at home are busy snipping at each other over petty concerns like what kind of e-mail is appropriate, this brother is putting his life on the line. It makes no difference whether you agree with what is going on. They are doing honorable service.
Hello Brothers. I have been busy working the last few weeks and was unable to check my email until today.

I read a few things that were discouraging to me. As a Soldier in the US Army, stationed overseas (and a member of Operation Iraqi Freedom 2) but most importantly as a Brother of SPE I feel I need to say there are more important things here than name calling and inappropraite emails. WE ARE ALL BROTHERS! Sometimes we fight, that's life, but we should have a strong enough bond to rebound from such fights. I would like to call out to the Brother's who are "unsubscribing" to reconsider. Reading your emails (even the angry ones) gives me a sense of home, which I only get elsewhere from family emails/letters and the few non-SigEps I can still keep in contact with. My two cents...

PS~ Attached is a pic of myself and a guy who saved my life in a mortar attack. His name is Kevin Stecker and he is supposed to be attending a college in Maine soon (sorry don't know the name) He said there is a Sigep chapter there and I think he would make a great Brother. If any of you Maine SigEps know him, please drop me an email!

Stay safe, brothers. Thanks for reminding us about perspective.
