The Round Table: Report links many college deaths to alcohol

If it bleeds, it reads.

While there is a fine focus on Greek Organizations and their use of alcohol that results in death and injury, often with associated hazing, these are not necessarily the only group of college students that are affected.

Drinking by American college students is more widespread and destructive than previously thought, resulting in 1,400 student deaths and 70,000 cases of sexual assault each year. Around 1,100 of these 1,400 deaths were among students between the ages of 18 and 24.

Sig Ep touts the motto, "Building Balanced Leaders for the World's Communities." Well, if we look at the stats that we have over 14,000 undergrads, that would be equivilent of depriving the world of 10% of tomorrow's leadership.

Think about it.
