Men's softball teams battle down to wire
The men had to work overtime on Sunday to capture the championship trophies of the Golden Heart Softball Association's June Jamboree at the Hez Ray Softball Complex.

Rockstar won the men's D tournament and Sig Ep captured the Men's E title by winning "if" games on Sunday afternoon, while Pioneer Glass went undefeated in claiming the Women's D/E crown.

Sig Ep pulled out a couple of narrow wins over Debe Reischke to claim the Men's E crown. Sig Ep won 15-13 in the winners' bracket finals and then posted an 18-17 win in the "if" to take home the first-place trophy. Debe Reischke posted a 15-8 win in the first game of the championship round.

MVP honors went to Sig Ep's Jake Theurich, who hits .792 wit five homers and 20 RBIs. Teammate Tom Lindsey had the highest batting average at .824 with a home run and 11 RBIs. MacCheyne's Carpet Plus finished third.
