Former fraternity member pleads guilty in opossum prank

You get a stiffer sentence for hurting wild animals than you do for hazing new members.....

A University of Missouri-Columbia sophomore has pleaded guilty for his part in a bizarre fraternity prank involving a barrel of opossums.

Zachary Famuliner, 20, pleaded guilty Wednesday to animal abuse, saying he stabbed an opossum several times during the prank last year. An associate circuit judge placed Famuliner on two years unsupervised probation, ordered him to pay a $500 fine for illegal possession of wildlife and dismissed a second count of animal abuse.
