You may have noticed that there has been a slowdown in postings over the last week. One of the realities of life is that it keeps happening despite your best efforts.
My father has passed away after battling lung cancer for several months. He slipped away peacefully on Friday morning. A positive note is that I was able to be with him and my mother for the final few days; I had come to visit directly from Conclave, just in time to help at the end. We knew the end was close, but of course you never know the exact time so I am grateful things worked out this way.
Those of you reading this who have experienced the death of a parent know that you have to balance the grieving with attending to the many details of "final arrangements". These needs are obviously a 'higher claim' so they get done first and there has not been much left over for blogging, as you might imagine.
Things should be back to normal in a week or so, but for now please know that we have not lost interest or been 'warned off'. We just have to deal with life outside the blogosphere.
