On tap at Tech

Michigan Tech is playing hockey. They also have a contest to boost attendance.

Hockey games at Michigan Tech are always a fun and exciting way to spend weekend nights in Houghton.
Just in case you need extra motivation to attend this weekend’s hockey series against Minnesota-Duluth, Michigan Tech is conducting two promotions to entice even the casual fan. The University is offering its students two tickets for the price of one for Saturday’s Western Collegiate Hockey Association game. Opening faceoff is set for 7:07 p.m. at the historic John MacInnes Ice Arena.

In addition, Friday night’s game will be part of the FANtastic Challenge. The check-in table will also be at the student entrance to the arena. Currently, the “West End Girls” house from West McNair Hall holds the points lead but not far behind are the Bastille House, Sigma Phi Epsilon, Delta Sigma Phi and Theta Chi Epsilon.
It’s not too late to participate in the challenge, as the points are given out based on attendance and there are still three games remaining: this weekend’s hockey game against Minnesota-Duluth and the Dec. 3 women’s and men’s basketball games against Ashland University.
First Prize? Tickets to the next hockey game.
Second Prize? Tickets to the next Two Games.
