"Duck"-hunting season officially opens at ETSU on Thursday when Sig Ep Black will look to knock off defending intramural flag football champions DuckSquad in Campus Recreation's Game of the Week.
"This year we will be having a "game of the week" each Thursday night," said Intramural Coordinator Chris Meister, "It will be what we think is the biggest match-up of the comp league for that week."
Sig Ep and DuckSquad are no strangers to each other. They played each other twice in the Super Weekend Invitational last February with Sig Ep losing both games by a total of two points, including losing the tournament's championship game in triple overtime. DuckSquad also defeated Sig Ep in preseason play last week by a score of 20-7.
Sig Ep's assistant captain Brad Arlington is not intimidated by the DuckSquad's success against Sig Ep or their 2004-05 record of 13-0. "We respect them as a reasonably good flag football team," Arlington said. "We are not looking past them, but definitely not intimidated by them."
Should be a 'quackerjack' game.
