Outfitted in T-shirts bearing the words "Leadership + Community Service = Greek," brothers from Sigma Phi Epsilon could be seen picking up cigarette butts all over campus. The cleanup is part of a year-long series of service projects designed to benefit the local community.
In charge of this operation are the Ward brothers. Brennan Ward, current president of Sig Ep, and John Ward, former president of Sig Ep, will lead their fellow "brothers" to make a difference.
"We already have 150 man hours of community service done, but our goal is 500 hours by the end of the year," said Ward. "People become Greek to really help and get involved, not just to party. Helping people, that's what being Greek is all about," he said.
And that's not just blowin' smoke.
