In a few months an old warehouse on Susquehanna's campus will be transformed into a new social space for students and if they're 21 or older, beer and wine are on the house.
"We are really looking to provide some alternatives on campus that students would feel like they had what they needed for some social opportunities," said Tracy Tyree, Dean of Student Life at Susquehanna University. She said the idea stems from the university cracking down on its alcohol policies, specifically when it comes to fraternity parties.
"We do have the occasional challenges with students who live off campus or visit their friends off campus and contribute to negative behaviors," Tyree explained. Students agree.
Of course, if you are under 21 you will be expected to pay for your iced tea and lemonade.
This really sounds like a topic that begs for serious comments. Any takers?
