News of Hogan's arrest shocked residents of his frat house and others on campus who knew him.
Kevin Clarkson said some of his roommates lived with Hogan last year in a dormitory, where Hogan served as a gryphon, or resident adviser. ''Everyone thought he was all-around a good guy,'' Clarkson said.
Hogan also was known to follow the rules, because he had issues with students who did not while he was an adviser, Clarkson said. His fraternity, known as ''Sig Ep'' on campus, also is ''one of the more well-behaved frats,'' Clarkson said.
