Student Body presidential candidate John Boyles, vice presidential candidate Lydia Washington and treasurer candidate Ryan Moseley, left to right, are running with the Swamp Party in this year's election.'A balanced man'
On another side of town, deep within the cavernous halls of the Sigma Phi Epsilon Fraternity house, Boyles' running mate Ryan Moseley shows off a musty weight room Monday evening.
"I like how Sig Ep promotes a balanced man," says Moseley, who was elected president of the fraternity last October. "We are No. 1 in athletics right now."
Moseley is Swamp's candidate for Student Body treasurer. As he traverses the house's winding hallways, his fraternity brothers greet him warmly.
"Bryson Ridgway is my big brother," Moseley says, referring to a former Student Senate president who is also a Sig Ep member. "He pretty much taught me that you can do anything you want to in life."
Although a stint as Student Body treasurer would prove time-consuming, Moseley says his fraternity duties would not interfere with his work in SG.
"Sig Ep's pretty routine," he says. "I kind of know when everything's coming."
