In 2006, Sigma Phi Epsilons’ application for $660 was denied even though Schuld claims it met all of the criteria to receive money, which he explains as "benefiting the campus in some capacity, and abiding by the campus ethics code."
The funds requested by Sigma Phi Epsilon were $200 for office supplies, and $460 for a reimbursement of a campus event they held an all inclusive night of whirly ball and laser tag which 60 students attended.
Greek organizations are automatically allocated $10,000 at the beginning of each fiscal year and can apply for LSO money throughout the year.
