Doing it Greek Style

Greeks Gone Wild­ — Michael McGreevey, senior history major, and Zach Martin, sophomore pre-engineering major, both members of Theta Xi, scurry across the quad Thursday during the wheelbarrow race in the Greek Olympics. Alpha Xi Delta and Sigma Phi Epsilon were the overall winners of Greek Week this year. Competitions throughout the week included a lip sync, date auction, Greek god and goddess, Greek Olympics, and the hunt for the “red E.”

he Greek groups took over Henderson last week for their spring Greek week. The week was filled with all sorts of activities and entertainment. Fifteen different campus sororities and fraternities participated in the events that started on Monday morning and ended on Thursday night.

Sigma Phi Epsilon won the lip sync with their creative performance with Oompas Loompas and Ghostbusters. Alpha Xi Delta giddy-upped in second place with their short shorts and cowgirl boots.

Sig Eps finally found the Red E on Thursday morning, the last day of Greek week. Bonnie Ferguson, recording secretary of Alpha Xi Delta, won the Greek goddess competition, and Ryan Riggin, member of Sigma Phi Epsilon, won the Greek god competition.

Just don't make me watch the wheelbarrow race again.
