Culpeper County native “Money” Mike Sawyer will be fighting his third professional battle at 7 p.m. Saturday in Springfield at the ABC Sports Complex.Best of luck "Money Mike".

Sawyer prepares for his bouts by sparing with some native DC fighters such as Paul “Punisher” Williams, Henry “Sugar Poo” Buchanon, Mark Johnson and Reggie Holly.
“I hold my own against them,” Sawyer said. “Sparing is a funny thing, ninety percent of the time both are working on things such as combinations and moving to your left and moving to your right.”
Sawyer is being trained by Junious Hinton, who “Money” Mike claims as “being the best.”
He is the son of Thomas and Evelyn Sawyer of Culpeper.
Sawyer is an alumnus of George Mason University and was a member of the Sig Ep Fraternity.
He graduated with a finance degree and with minors in economics and Spanish.
