Consisting of just bright lights spelling out the musical’s title, “Fosse,” the simple background that Delta Gamma and Sigma Phi Epsilon chose forced the audience to focus on the cast’s professional presentation. The basic black boxes on which the women stretched their legs in “Big Spender” also worked well to highlight the performers’ talents. The excellent singing and dancing in the first half of the musical was followed by a spectacular final number—it wasn’t a shock to find out that the judges had chosen “Fosse” as the second-place winner.
