Sigma Phi Epsilon won fraternity of the year for 2005-2006. They also won all five men's chapter awards given out to fraternities at the banquet. These included honors for scholarship, philanthropy and service, member development, public relations and alumni programming.

Delta Gamma was honored as sorority of the year for 2005-2006, receiving three chapter awards: scholarship, philanthropy and community service and alumni programming.

"Sigma Phi Epsilon and Delta Gamma are doing great things locally and nationally within their respective organizations," said Jayme Little, coordinator for fraternity and sorority affairs. "The university's administration is proud of their accomplishments."

This year marked the first time that an independent awards panel comprised of faculty and staff members decided the winners of these awards.

Ray Crosby, a senior English and mathematics major and former president of Sigma Phi Epsilon, was named the Greek Man of the Year.
