Members of the Alpha Chi Omega sorority house spent the afternoon moving items out of the house.
Liz Saxen, a sophomore who lived in a third floor corner room, pointed to what was left since the roof and window collapsed in.
Saxen said she was in the room two minutes before the storm struck.
Realizing that the storm was getting closer, she and a friend ran into the stairwell, where they had three doors blocking them in.
"We thought it was going to break through the storm doors it was shaking so much," she said.
Saxen said the girls will be moving into the former Phi Gamma Delta fraternity house once the house gets mattresses.
Friday afternoon, members of the sorority were being interviewed by Inside Edition and The Weather Channel.
Members of the Sigma Phi Epsilon, Sigma Nu and Phi Kappa Psi fraternities also helped the girls in the sorority move their items, said Jake Ekl, a Sigma Phi Epsilon.
