Attorney William Farris told the board that the fraternity, assisted by alumni members, had spent more than $4,000 to repair the house and erect the fence. Windows have been replaced, outlets re-wired and locks fixed, he said.
Openings in the foundation have been fixed or boarded up to prevent them from attracting rodents, he said.
Sigma Phi Epsilon will spend as much as $10,000 this year to rehab the house, Farris said. "It's a work in progress."
