The council, which represents 27 fraternities, voted to keep fraternities from using chapter money to hire strippers and from hiring strippers for chapter events. The Panhellenic Association, which represents 13 sororities, is working on a similar policy for next semester.

[Laura Bonard, the owner of Life of the Party, a Columbia business that provides male and female strippers for parties] said strippers were hired by fraternities and sororities about five times a year. The last request was by a sorority in January. Demand is about equal between fraternities and sororities, Bonard said.
The Sigma Phi Epsilon fraternity hired strippers for two chapter events last semester, said freshman Danny Shearman. He said the chapter is not worried about the decision, as the house is being torn down at the end of the semester.
Let me see if I got that right... It's OK to hire a stripper if your house is going to be torn down anyway. What, are you afraid of cooties?
