Habitat for Humanity build running out of time

Several Fraternities and Sororities are building a "Habitat for Humanity" house at OU. Maybe they'll get done with it.

Construction of the Habitat for Humanity house may not be finished due to weather and busy schedules.

A Habitat for Humanity project headed by members of four greek houses that was scheduled to be completed at the end of the school year may not be finished on time.

The students started work on a Habitat house at the beginning of the semester. Original plans indicated the house would be finished by summer, said Vanessa Wind, Delta Delta Delta philanthropy chairwoman.

Members of Kappa Kappa Gamma, Delta Delta Delta, Lambda Chi Alpha and Sigma Phi Epsilon have been working since February, but the house still lacks a lot of work, Wind said.

Limited schedules, rain and snow have inhibited the progress of the house, Wind said.

Jake Krattiger, external vice president for Lambda Chi Alpha, said that they underestimated how short the semester is.

“We have the people and the determination, we just ran short on time,” Krattiger said.
Yeah, you've got to hate it when school gets in the way of your education.
