DAVIS, W.Va. -
Highland Prospects LLC, purveyors of back-country equipment and clothing, will hold its grand opening Saturday at 10 a.m. in the old National Bank of Davis building next to the post office.
Prospects will be one of the area's premiere outdoor specialty stores. The store carries camping, backpacking, hiking and outdoor adventure gear and clothing. Hours will be Tuesday through Thursday and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Friday and Saturday. The store will be closed Monday.
Highland Prospects was formed in January by Davis and Elkins College graduates Ben Clark and Jeremy Golston, who were Sigma Phi Epsilon fraternity brothers.
"We are here to be a resource to our customers," said Clark. "We hand-pick all of the merchandise in our store. This ensures our customers will have the best possible outdoor experience while using our gear. We can provide information on the product, the proper care of products and our specific region to our customers."
Golston said, "We both fell in love with this region, and we want to share our experiences with others, and outfitting people in the proper gear is the first step in being able to enjoy the outdoors."
