In order to better facilitate our district communication, we are moving back to using yahoogroups as our primary way of communication with all alumni in SoCal. It’s quick, cheap and proven effective.
Currently, the existing socalsigeps@yahoogroups.com has over 75 members. However, many of our Brother Alum from the District are not yet linked into yahoogroups and we have failed to utilize it this year in the hopes of creating a variant of that system.
PLEASE do the follow so that we can quickly build this database:
FORWARD this email to your Alumni Brothers, Alumni Boards and other Alumni List-serves. From there, it is up to each Brother to send a blank email to socalsigeps-subscribe@yahoogroups.com . Their blank email will automatically link them into our list-serve. In short, each Alum is responsible now for ensuring they are on the list-serve.
It is highly suggested that those with spam filters ensure that any message sent from socalsigeps@yahoogroups.com is received in their inbox by adding it to their “safe” list. Once the group is fully established, it will be used solely to post announcements. It WILL NOT be used as a chat site.
We have exciting events coming up and we need to get the word out ASAP. The newsletter will be posted here as well.
Lastly, if anyone has a list of emails of Alum, you can forward them to me in a word doc, or email, and I will add them directly.
