Sig Ep "Journal" has a new editor

(Scott Thompson has taken a new position with the Educational Foundation and will be leaving the editorship of the "Journal". The following is from an email he sent out announcing his move.

Best wishes on your new position, Scott. We are sure you will handle it with the same competence and professionalism you have shown at the Journal.)

Brothers and Friends,

Last month I accepted a position as the Director of Chapter Campaigns for the Sigma Phi Epsilon Educational Foundation. Before stepping into this new role, I worked to complete the upcoming Winter 2006 issue of the Journal, my last as Editor. My four years working on the Journal were fantastic. Our Brothers (alumni and undergraduates) are doing great things to strive for Sound Mind and Sound Body, undergraduates are seeing the benefits of a properly-run Balanced Man Scholarship, our Fraternity GPA continues to inch closer to a 3.15, chapters are recruiting more Scholar Athletes, and we continue to receive correspondence from alumni who enjoy reading all of this.

Over the years you have contributed to the success of the magazine with ideas, leads, and content. Together you help tell the story of Sigma Phi Epsilon. While I am no longer editor, I look to be a contributor like you in the near future. Now my role is to transition with our new editor. I want to make sure you know who to get in touch with to provide future content and story ideas to the Journal.

Gay-Lynn Carpenter is a communications consultant and has become the Journal editor. You can reach her at gaylynn.carpenter@sigep.net. She will be handling future issues of the magazine. Please reach out to Gay-Lynn directly if you have story ideas, content for the magazine or questions. If you have been thinking about opportunities for the magazine, Gay-Lynn would appreciate any thoughts you have.

As we continue our transition throughout the month of December, she is gathering content for the Spring 2007 issue. All items need to be sent to Gay-Lynn by Tuesday, February 20.

Fraternally,

Scott
