Campuses continue to drown in alcohol

Campuses continue to drown in alcohol. This seems to be the worst season in years for campus deaths, particularly those in which alcohol has played a major role. Fraternities and sororities are pricing themselves out of business because of ever increasing insurance rates and because more and more lawsuits have a substantive basis. The concern is real, the educational programs and speakers are legion, but apparently the audience to whom these efforts are directed are ignoring the issue. Denial is not just a river in Egypt. Everyone has that "it won't happen to us/me philosophy." Why take a chance with your life or someone elses. Life has enough speedbumps without building more. College is a time of freedom and learning who you are and it should be enjoyed while getting a good education. Cutting it short (or ending it) by sheer stupidity really seems like such a waste. Think, just a little, men. The life you save could be your own and that of your Brother.
