Sigma Phi Epsilon member Jared Westbroek said he knew poker was popular, but turnout exceeded all expectations as players spread across 20 tables jammed into the Sage Room of USU's Taggart Student Center.Salt Lake Tribune - Utah
"At Utah State, there's kind of a subculture that plays Texas Hold'em off and on throughout the week," Westbroek said, "so we thought we'd take the opportunity to tap into a resource to help raise money for Youth AIDS."

The charity card tournament is the first major event sponsored by the Sigma Phi Epsilon since it was re-established at USU after being dormant since 1998.
Westbroek said the fund-raiser was so successful that the frat plans to try it again at the same time next year, but in a much larger room.
