NH Gamma Brother Elected as State Representative

"UNH junior elected as NH State Representative"

Chapter President, IFC VP, and now State Legislator. New Hampshire Gamma (UNH) brother John Ward is a busy guy. The junior in Political Science won a Republican seat in the State House.
"As a voice in legislature and as a UNH student I think it is critical that we highlight to the legislature the first rate education we receive at UNH, but also ask for their services to improve the quality of life and education at UNH," he said.

He said greek life boosted his confidence to be a successful leader and to broaden his leadership activities outside of the greek system.

"I was fortunate to be a member of the Greek system," said Ward. "As President of Sigma Phi Epsilon I was able to gain valuable leadership training through the office of greek affairs and Steve Pappajohn."

Greek advisor Steve Pappajohn said Ward will make an excellent State Representative and has excellent experience with leadership which he partially attributes to a national program that Ward participated in through his fraternity, called The Balanced Man Program, which improves the quality of life and leadership in participating chapters.
