WKU Lambda Chi Alpha Fraternity heads annual food drive for the weekend

A Western Kentucky University fraternity will be out in full force this weekend to feed the hungry. Lambda Chi Alpha fraternity brothers are participating in a nationwide food drive organized by chapters all over North America. It’s an annual event the fraternity does the first weekend in November. “We do this basically to give back to the community,” Lambda Chi Alpha member Jordan Maddox said. “We want to help out any way we can, and we’re young, so we can do things like this on the weekend.” The goal is to collect 2 million pounds of food nationwide, but the Western chapter’s goal is to beat its record of 19,000 pounds, which they raised last year.
