Five weeks later, the University of Georgia mourned the death of Bradley Thomas Arms, a 20-year-old student from Charlottesville, Va., who left his studies to serve with his Marine Reserve unit.
A member of Sigma Phi Epsilon fraternity, Arms came to UGA in January 2003 and was called to active duty in August 2004.
Arms died Nov. 19, 2004; his father told mourners at a memorial service that Arms was shot twice in the back while trying to save another soldier.
We reported on Bro. Arms' death back in November here and here.
