- Senior Adam Freeman (Barrington, Ill./Barrington) has been named the Patriot League Men's Swimming and Diving Scholar-Athlete of the Year, announced by the league offices on Thursday. This is the second such honor in Freeman's Bison career, after garnering the award during his sophomore campaign in 2002-03.

Freeman, who is double majoring in mechanical engineering and economics, boasts a cumulative GPA of 3.6. He is also a member of several honor societies due to his academic prowess. His resume includes nominations to the National Society of Collegiate Scholars, Alpha Lambda Delta Academic Honor Society, Omicron Delta Epsilon Economics Honor Society, Mortar Board College Senior Honor Society and Omicron Delta Kappa Leadership Honorary.
Freeman is also a member of the Sigma Phi Epsilon Fraternity, where he has been the Vice President Member Development since 2004. He also a part of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers and participates in the Student Athletic Advisory Committee (SAAC) on campus.
