Richmond, Virginia…Sigma Phi Epsilon Fraternity is pleased to announce the appointment of Gary L. Huff, Central Arkansas ’91, as District Governor for the states of Arkansas, Louisiana, and Mississippi. Brother Huff has served as Treasurer of the Arkansas Zeta Alumni & Volunteer Corporation and Chapter Counselor for the Arkansas Zeta Chapter at the University of Central Arkansas. In addition, he has served as a faculty member at several Carlson Leadership Academies and the EDGE program.
Brother Huff intends to work with alumni and volunteer corporations on long-range chapter planning and assisting volunteers throughout the district. Alumni and volunteers of the states of Arkansas, Louisiana, and Mississippi can contact Gary at gleehuff@msn.com.
Brother Huff succeeds past District Governor J. Phillip McKnight, Arkansas ’81, recipient of the Distinguished Alumnus Award. Sigma Phi Epsilon is grateful for his service, and looks forward to Brother McKnight returning to volunteer with the Arkansas Alpha Chapter at the University of Arkansas, focusing on the long-term housing needs of the chapter.
In addition, District Governor Daniel W. McVeigh, Texas Wesleyan ’90, will lead alumni and volunteer efforts for the state of Oklahoma in addition to his work with volunteers in North Texas.
Finally, SigEp announces Districts 23, Montana, and 26, Alaska, Idaho, Oregon, and Washington, will be joined effective April 15, 2005. Steven R. Ruttner, Washington ’79, will continue to serve as District Governor.
