Guest Post - TN Eta Dominates Awards

Jason Choate from Tennessee Eta (Austin Peay) sends this report:

The following information was passed along the local list serv. Thought you guys might find it interesting.

Last night at the Students Org. and Leader Awards, Sigma Phi Epsilon blew away all the competition. In all, individual and group, we pulled away 8 awards. The winners are as follows:

  • Athlete Leader of the Year: John Beamer
  • Celebration and Promotions of Diversity: Feras Sadik
  • Outstanding Program of the Year: Gamma Sigma Sigma and Sigma Phi Epsilon
  • President's Cup: Sigma Phi Epsilon
  • Greek Man: Justin Roper
  • Greek Organization of the Year: Sigma Phi Epsilon
  • Governor's Pride Leadership Award: Feras Sadik
  • Vice President's Excellence in Leadership Award: Mike Gaither

In addition to these awards, other brothers were recognized for their service to APSU. Zach Pelham was recognized for serving as SGA president. Nick Pitts and Feras Sadik were sworn in for next year's SGA EC (half the SGA EC is SigEp). Mike Gaither, who won the highest individual award, is the current president of Del Square Psi, which won Student Organization of the Year.

For most of the individual awards that we won, another brother was also nominated. I am confident that these brothers would have won had the other not applied. I am very proud of this chapter and its accomplishments during the past year. We have once again proven that Sigma Phi Epsilon is the top fraternity on campus.
