Delta Zeta sorority and Sigma Phi Epsilon fraternity kept alive their multi-year Run for Spirit tradition on Saturday, Oct. 22, by racing through the rain in Maryville, Mo. to raise $1,400 for charity.
Local business organizations sponsored the Greeks, who rode by bus, ran, and watched the Mules take on the Bearcats. Delta Zeta supports the speech and hearing impaired through Gallaudet University and locally through CMSU’s Welch-Schmidt Clinic. Sigma Phi Epsilon supports the Warrensburg Area Boys and Girls Club.
Last year’s run included a circuit from downtown Warrensburg to Pertle Springs and back. According to Rosa Ruiz of the Delta Zeta sorority, both Delta Zeta and Sigma Phi Epsilon would like to thank their many sponsors.
