Two North Carolina State University students died in a fire near campus early Friday, a school spokesman said.
The men were members of Sigma Alpha Mu fraternity, said Keith Nichols, director of the university's news services.
Raleigh police identified the victims as Mark Brandon Davis, 22, of High Point, and Dylan Cody Pilkington, 19, of Grifton. Davis was a senior and Pilkington a sophomore.
Police spokesman Jim Sughrue said a cause for the blaze has not been determined.
Eight members of the fraternity shared the duplex.
