SigEp Home Hosts a Class

This story posted on the HQ site will be featured in the next Journal.

In the Spring, 2005, semester, SigEp launched the first academic class taught in a fraternity house at Miami University. The eight-week class met for two hours each week, and 25 brothers participated for one hour’s credit. The political science class dealt with ethics and was a discussion-based course applicable to all majors. POL 143 featured guest lectures from many of Miami’s departments.

“The one thing I didn’t want is for this to become a free credit hour,” Faculty Fellow and Renaissance Brother Dr. George Ehrhardt, Miami (Ohio) '04, said. He became involved with SigEp after one of his students recommended him to the chapter’s Faculty Fellow search committee.
