Hogan, however, will not be waiting for his court date at Lehigh. Vice Provost John Smeaton said Hogan is not enrolled at the university for the spring semester. According to the student code of conduct, Lehigh has the authority to bar students from campus even if civil action has not taken place.

Hogan has been suspended indefinitely from Sig Ep. Ben Loveless, ’07, vice president of communications for the fraternity, said the house will wait until Lehigh makes its decision and legal proceedings are finished before taking further action.
“He was a brother, but his actions had nothing to do with his membership in our fraternity,” Loveless said.
Hogan’s brothers said they did not know about his gambling issues.
“As a house we were shocked that it happened and no one was aware that he had a problem,” Sig Ep President Tyler Rock, ’06, said. “As friends of Greg, our hearts go out to him, and we hope he is getting the help and support he needs.”
Loveless said Hogan had played poker for money with other brothers but the stakes were never high. He said if Hogan played high-stakes games, they didn’t take place at Sig Ep.
“Maybe he was playing somewhere else,” Loveless said. “The games in our house never involved a lot of money.”
