Subject: SigEp PA-Theta news
Hi there!
I'm an avid reader of Sanguine et Purpure, and I wanted to pass along some great news about my chapter (PA-Theta, Carnegie Mellon) that isn't in our campus news. (They have never covered the Greek Awards. I'm not sure if you blog news without a link. It will be up on our website eventually, which is www.sigepcmu.com.)
The Greek Awards, held yesterday, went thus:
- Outstanding Fraternity on Campus: Sigma Phi Epsilon
- Outstanding Greek Man: Tom Sabram, Sigma Phi Epsilon
- Outstanding Young Greek: Colin Sternhell, Sigma Phi Epsilon
- Outstanding Greek Varsity Athlete: Tom Matta, Sigma Phi Epsilon
- Outstanding Scholarship Program: Sigma Phi Epsilon
If you're interested in any background on the guys that won:
Tom Sabram is the sitting Student Body President and the former Chaplain of our house,
Colin Sternhell was this year's Greek Sing Overall Co-Chair and is the coming year's IFC Recruitment Chair,
...and Tom Matta is the founder/president of the Carnegie Clan (an organization that exists to promote student support for athletics), as well as a star hammer-thrower and shot-putter for the Track & Field team.
An eight-year old chapter, this is our sixth time winning the Outstanding Fraternity award, and our third time in a row winning Outstanding Greek Man.
Hope this works for you!

Adam,
Thanks for the update. While we prefer to have links, we certainly will accept any news, and it looks like you have plenty!
And thanks for the link to your website, too. One of the challenges with this effort at S&P is that we do not have a way to get the latest chapter website info. Just this week, as we were preparing the "Chapter of the Week" post, we passed by your entry on the HQ "Chapters" section because the link to your website was not up to date. I don't know if you didn't tell Richmond, or if they overlooked the change, but your current site info is not there. I'll use the good link in an upcoming "CoW". It is important to make sure your contact information is current at HQ, but that is fodder for another post.
Thanks again and keep the news flowing!
