Fraternity adopts female adviser

The Penn State "Daily Collegian" has some fun with the the concept of a female resident scholar
Though the inevitable "walk of shame" that follows a foggy sleepover on Fraternity Row may plague some girls, waking up at a frat house is just a normal morning for Rachel Rollo.

Rollo, a college student affairs major, who currently lives at Sigma Phi Epsilon's fraternity house, 524 Locust Lane, and is serving her first semester as the chapter's "resident scholar."
Pretty good positive press for the chapter, and Sig Ep "Nationals" too.
Daniel Hadas, president of Sigma Phi Epsilon, said Rollo is actually the fraternity's second female resident scholar. He also said that the chapter and National Sigma Phi Epsilon drove the movement for a live-in adviser, not the university.
"Nationals believes that it's a way to foster development for the brothers," he said.
I must confess I thought that the resident scholar program was a "brothers only" deal. I suppose putting good people in the positions is the most important thing, however.
