On Saturday, December 6, 2008, starting at 9 a.m., more than 50 volunteers will assemble at 4441 Wisconsin Avenue, NW, to plant nearly 30 new trees in the park adjacent to Tenley Circle.Community Organizations Form Partnership to Beautify Tenley Circle

“Our hope with this project is to use the natural beauty of trees to transform two city blocks into a welcoming area for all members of the community to embrace,” commented Mike Reid, chairperson of the event. “Our planning committee has been reaching out to several other community organizations including the American University Chapters of Sigma Phi Epsilon, Alpha Epsilon Pi, and Pi Kappa Phi; Saint Anne’s Church; and Cleveland Park Congregational Church to make this a true community event.”
